LET’S GET YOU PLAYING

From download
to adventure.

You’ll need Minecraft Education and the complete .mcaddon file. A grown-up can help with the first setup.

  1. Pick your adventure

Open an add-on page and choose Download free. Save the file to your device. On iPad, find it in Files or your browser’s Downloads.

  2. Open it in Minecraft Education

Tap the .mcaddon file and choose Minecraft Education. Wait for both the behavior and resource packs to import. If tapping doesn’t work, try the Share menu and choose Minecraft Education.

  3. Give it a fresh world

Back up important worlds first. Create a fresh, flat Creative world, then activate both imported packs in the world’s Behavior Packs and Resource Packs settings.

  4. Follow your pack’s instructions

Some packs need Cheats enabled. Check the add-on page for exact settings, item names, and the space you’ll need. No experiments are required.

Something not showing up?

Check that both packs are active and that you’re using Minecraft Education, rather than Java Edition. On school-managed devices, an administrator may need to allow .mcaddon imports. Check the add-on page for its supported version.
